Local Collaborations
Working with Adirondack artisans & makers
Adirondack Fragrance has a rich history of collaborating with local artisans and makers to create unique, regionally inspired products.
Notable Collaborations Include
Artisan Workshops: Hands-On Creativity with Local Makers
At Adirondack Fragrance we hosts events like artisanal candle-making workshops in collaboration with local artists such as Kris A Lis Design. These hands-on experiences allow the community to blend traditional craftsmanship with ADKFF’s natural fragrances, preserving local artistry while fostering creativity.
Fundraising Initiatives: Supporting Local Arts & Culture
Partnering with the Massena Arts and Theater Association (MATA), ADKFF donated 40% of proceeds from handcrafted, locally sourced products to help restore the historic Schine Theater in Massena, NY. This initiative not only supports local artists and performers but also helps preserve a beloved community landmark, reinforcing ADKFF’s commitment to creativity, culture, and community enrichment.
Artisan Studio Tours: A Behind-the-Scenes Experience

Adirondack Fragrance has made a yearly commitment to participating in the St. Lawrence County (SLC) Arts "Artists' Studio Tour," offering the community an inside look at the traditional craftsmanship behind its products. Each year, ADKFF showcases a different artisanal process, from Soap Making to Perfume Blending or Candle Crafting, using natural Adirondack ingredients. Through live demonstrations, visitors experience the art of handcrafted production, strengthening community connections while learning about sustainable, farm-to-home fragrance making.
Community Events: Celebrating Regional Creativity and Connection

Adirondack Fragrance actively participates in community-driven events, like the Creative Alchemy Exhibit at TAUNY, which brings together local artists and storytellers. Founder Sandy Maine shared her expertise in cold process soap-making, a craft she’s mastered since 1979, while the exhibit highlighted natural fragrance and flavor pioneers of the North Country. These events celebrate Adirondack heritage, small businesses, and sustainable craftsmanship, reinforcing ADKFF’s mission to connect people through nature, art, and community.
